Mystery bird

i saw a puzzling bird on my morning walk along the pond. It was a friendly small brown bird with some streaking on the upper breast, white eye ring, pink legs. At first I considered a type or wren but the tail didn't seem like a wren. I think it was some type of thrush or maybe a Veery or Ovenbird. Then i went home and read Veery is more reddish brown and this was not.

The pond actually has a thin layer of ice for the first time this fall/winter.

My trail feeder has many Titmouse and Chickadee this morning and the yard feeders had Blue Jays, Mourning Dove and House Sparrows.

The blue jays have been pecking at the ice on the birdbath here. I don’t heat water so it just freezes up now. I should take it in so it doesn’t get any more cracks.
